Urgent Primary Care (OOH)

Dr Mohan De Silva case study

Dr Mohan De Silva

Overnight clinician

I'm in for the fantastic team ethos.

I started working in Urgent Primary Care when it was in its infancy and before it was commissioned by the Health Boards. I was part of a local cooperative that would come together to provide cover for the nights at local GP practices in the area and would visit people at home. 15 years on, I am still working in Urgent Primary Care but I also have a GP practice in Llandovery where I spend two days of the week.

The main reason why I enjoy working in Urgent Primary Care is the flexibility. I’m able to work as and when I like, and the shifts are suitable for me, which means I have a better work life balance. I also enjoy seeing a diverse range of medical problems.
